In recent years the Valencia region has attracted a great
deal of interest from tourists, house buyers and investors
from the UK. The region offers a refreshing change to saturation
of English tourism and ex pat communities in other parts of
the country. Valencia city, the surrounding area and the north
of the region is the next growth spot for foreign investment
over the next ten years!

The three provinces - Valencia, Alicante to the south and northwards Castellon constitute the Valencia region. Its resident population is approximately 4 million and this more than doubles in high season as holiday makers both Spanish and Northern European flock to its coastal resorts.
The areas of Valencia city and the northwards to Castellon (Costa del Azahar) is where there is a lot of interest from English investors who want value for their money and want to experience the real Spain.

City
Valencia city is the third largest city in Spain with a population of nearly 1 million people. It is home to the famous paella and is blessed with great weather. In mid March the festival of Las Fallas takes place which is regarded by the Spanish as the country's wildest party - a week long party of fireworks, the largest display of fireworks you will ever experience in Europe.
It's a vibrant, friendly, mildly chaotic city that boasts an outstanding fine arts museum, an accessible old quarter, Europe's est cultural and scientific complex (the City of Arts and Sciences) and one of Spain's most exciting night life scenes.
The City of Arts and Sciences is equipped with the latest IMAX film set up, a planetarium, and innovative laser show, concerts and opera performances.

The coastal area
stretches for 446 kilometres. Traditionally the area of Valencia
city and north has catered for Spanish tourism, however this
is changing fast as investors from Germany and the UK are
buying attractive properties at very attractive prices. The
reasons to invest here are many:
8 golf
courses in the northern part of the region and a further 13
golf courses towards the Costa Blanca. El Saler (20kms south
of Valencia City) is considered to be within the top ten golf
courses in Europe for the professional golf players. The area
around El Saler is a place of outstanding natural beauty and
is protected from any building development.
International airports at Valencia, Alicante and Barcelona.
Barcelona is preferred for people travelling to the northern
part of the Valencia region. A airport is being build near
the city of Castellon, 80 kms north of Valencia city, in time
for the Americas Cup.
Water sports - Yacht clubs, yachting
harbours, sailing schools exist all along the coast. Most
beaches offer a wide range of activities such as wind surfing,
catamaran, sailing and hiring of pedal boats. Also certain
clubs offer sub aquatic activities. Because of the vast extent
of the coast, Valencia was chosen as the best choice for the
Americas Cup for 2007.
Food - Paella is the chosen dish
eaten by most families on a Sunday. In addition the region
is rich in seafoods, various meats, and there is an abundance
of fruit as a result of the consistent good weather. Valencia
is well known for its oranges and this part of the coast is
known as the orange blossom coast.
Trade fairs and Congresses - Many
trade fairs take place at the large exhibition centre in Valencia.
Companies from all over Europe come to the trade fair centre
to do business.
City of Arts and Sciences - This
is the largest cultural-educational complex and marine park
in Europe. The complex is equipped with a dolphinarium, aquariums
that accommodate the widest variety of marine life you will
find anywhere. Also you can experience the technology of IMAX
cinema dome showing a wide range of movies.
Walking routes - A few kilometres
inland, the region offers an infinite variety of possibilities
and you can discover many beautiful, untouched natural spots.
Natural areas such as mountains, plains, wetlands and areas
of ancient civilizations are to be discovered.
Accomodation - The region offers
a vast array of hotels, tourist apartments, camp sites and
rural accommodation.
